What would I experience in a Relational Unmasking group?

September 16, 2026 Jenny Kessem

Experience the Relational Unmasking groups for yourself

Join us in-person or online to explore your own neurospicy flavors—your nervous system, ways of being, all the topics listed below, and more. Registration is open—just reply to this email to get started.

We start each group in the body, with a guided somatic exercise. Why do we do this? As a whole, neurodivergent people tend to run a lot of physical stress. This puts our nervous systems in a mode that makes it difficult to access joy and is not great for our long term health. We start in the body to return to connection to self and to relaxation pathways.

Each week we cover one of the following topics:

  • What is masking and unmasking? How do I know when I am masking and what would unmasking look like?

  • Sensory Needs How am I responding to my environment and how can I advocate for my senses and what they need?

  • Processing style and preferences How do I process information? What do I like to pay attention to and where do I struggle to pay attention?

  • Communication How do I like to share and receive information? Where is there a mismatch or break down?

  • Emotions and relationships How can I befriend my emotions? What emotional experiences do I have in common with other neurodivergent people?

  • Self acceptance and self advocacy Self acceptance is a process both internal and external. What are the details of this for me at this time?

  • Flyer for more information

Feedback from one group participant:

“Feeling a sense of belonging in a group setting and so much encouragement and support in being myself was wonderfully beneficial! The mixture of information, resources, and sharing/processing was so great and felt really natural and organic.”
